Problem: Not cutting straight

Did you know that paper has a tolerance level even before cutting? A0 and A1 paper has a +/- 3.0mm tolerance and A2, A3 and A4 has a +/- 2.0mm tolerance. This is accordance with DIN standard 476 and this means that the paper you are attempting to cut is unlikely to be 100% accurate. As with all specialist-cutting instruments, your Swordfish trimmer also has a tolerance level and is calibrated with a tolerance equal to 2.0mm. As a result, we can never guarantee that cuttings will be 100% accurate.

1. Check that the cuttings are within the defined tolerance levels below:

A0 & A1 trimmers: 3.0mm paper tolerance + 2.0mm trimmer tolerance = 5.0mm total tolerance.
A2, A3 & A4 trimmers: 2.0mm paper tolerance + 2.0mm trimmer tolerance = 4.0mm total tolerance.
